ZANYMATION...the ultimate animation experience

Quickdraw Animation Society is your animation expert!  We support many different learning platforms for animation, from offsite workshops and events, to special request courses for your group at our downtown classroom.  To request a Zanymation workshop for your group, please read the following description, and fill out our request form detailing your groups needs and wants.

What is it?

Zanymation is a traveling animation workshop hosted by Quickdraw Animation. Participants in the workshop learn the basics of animation, practice a host of team-working skills, and have loads of interactive, technological fun!

Where does it go?

Zanymation has traveled to festivals, retreats, classrooms, seminars, summer camps, reserves and more. The format is flexible (having been used for corporate team-building as well as classroom learning), and can accommodate a range of ages, event-formats and schedules.

What happens?

Quickdraw employs a dynamic team of animation instructors to facilitate the workshop. Instructors guide participants through the process of making a short animation – using hands-on techniques such as paper-cut-outs, plastercine, hand-drawn figures, 3-D toys and pixilation (animation of people!). A series of still-frames are shot back-to-back using computer animation stations –frames are then projected in sequence to form... animation. It’s magic!
